The superb handmade Briseide moor head has been created following the strict rules of the maiolica production - turning, drying, first firing, glazing, decoration and ageing - and hand-painted by our skilful artisan with decorative diamonds on her crown in vibrant red and blue colours.

The classic palette of our Briseide, dominated by blues and reds and big, bold designs exudes a sense of warmth and cheer that feel as if they could only exist in Sicily.
She is made with unique glazes which recalls the origins of the Arabic world in which colours were produced by the fusion of kaolin-based glazes and represent the perfect showcase of the classic Italian ceramic of Caltagirone modelled by hand following this very peculiar style.
